today is wednesday and this is our first vlog from many. we wanted to record it with our gopro buy unfortunately it burnt on the exhaust of our motorcycle but we see that we get better video quality from our camera and we wanted to say that we are now 1000km from los angeles we rode it with our motorcycle actually 1600km we really enjoy this trip so far
but we did not expect one thing which are the extreme changes in temperatures during the day it is about 15 degree celsius which is pretty cold anyway, as we anticipated much warmer weather for this place but at night the temperature drops to -8 degrees and riding a motorcycle in this cold in the evening is just not great, but it's fun! and we are in one of the most amazing places of our trip and this are only first 2 weeks of it.
the grand canyon! we are sleeping at shane's place, for free 2 nights and so far we are using the couchsurfing pretty much all the time and this is great because it helps immensely with our budget. so far we have not spent too much money for accommodation. apart from the 50 bucks for a night in motel which was an emergency well, it is an adventure. and the best adventure that we made was
because it was quite boring we decided to ride as long as we run out of gas and we did run out of gas! so this is the american adventure. today we need to make 320 km we made about 200 so we planned the day to ride for about 4 hours one small thing that we did not consider was filling up the tank
so... now we are in the shithole but, there is one positive sign that in 2 miles are some rest areas i hope there will be a gas station too in that place if not the next town in 40 miles from here about 60 km and really, i am not in a mood to push the bike for 60 km. day full of adventures! motorcycle isn't heavy
i can push it 2 miles but not more! over there is this town or someting ida, show to people it doesn't seem too far but we will see... cheerio!
see you so we pushed the bike about 1 kilometer at least! actually about 100 meters and this nice guy with gas pulled over with 2 galons, which he gave to us and didn't want any money! it's great! america is good. as long as we don't have to spend too much money
for hotels and tourist attractions unless you have a lot of money, which we don't. all national parks you can visit for $80 per annum. so we bought that pass. the card is called america beautiful. we recommend it. each separate entry cost about $10 and is valid few days
with this pay we pay $80 and we can visit all places and as long as we want. apart from the cost of the motorcycle itself, our current daily budget is $40 $30-$40 per day our maximum daily budget is $70 so any savings we make along the way will allow us continue to south america and that's it
